Trophy catfishing is the name of the game! We set out every trip in pursuit of the largest catfish we can find as well as multiple species we encounter in southern Louisiana on the Mississippi River.

My name is John Hall,(JR) and I have been chasing giant catfish for over 25 years. I am a passionate fishing boat captain, and I hope to share my knowledge and experiences with you. It is my goal to take you and your party on a riverside adventure to fish for the monster "cats" that live in the Alabama and Louisiana waters.

We here at Blacksheep Catfishing strive to accomplish the most humane catch and release as possible. We spend most of our time trying to target trophy blue and flathead catfish here on the Tennessee River and Mississippi River.
Ready to eat?
If the catfish are less than 20lbs, you are able to keep the fish for personal consumption.
Need to know..
Only pack clothes for the elements. It is recommended that you check the forecast prior to your charter.

You may also bring a small cooler; which will carry your personal food, drinks, and any other personal or health items you may need during your charter.

Anyone 16 years or older must have a valid Alabama state fishing license prior to boarding the vessel. For louisana, you can either purchase a fishing license of a 1 day charter permit.

Tennessee River Prices

For Louisiana, 1-3 people for the day is $750 plus fuel. any fish under 25lbs can be kept for consumption.

We do require a 100$ deposit at time of booking to confirm your booking!

For Tennessee River trips
The minimum charter cost is 6 hours. This price includes up to two people.
​
75$ per additional guest with a max of four persons per tour.
​
​
​Louisiana trips, max group of up to 3 people.
If you wish to have your fish cleaned after your charter, please speak with the captain during booking.
